Slamflowers - Clam Chowder

This is a band I recorded and produced and album for in college. My girlfriend at the time, Renee, was friends with one of the guitar players. These guys were only in high school, but had some serious talent. I was studying Theatre Sound Design (which is what my degree is in), and I had access to a pretty nice recording studio (8 track 3/4″ Tascam, E-mu system E-III, effects racks, 24 channel board of some sort - pretty nice gear at the time). My girlfriend gave me a demo tape and I loved their music. Pop hooks, creative arrangements, quirky lyrics. I wanted to record and produce a record for them, so I booked a week in the studio and we literally lived there, ate, slept, everything. Shirts came off (bad air flow), tape rolled, burritos consumed, out came “Clam Chowder”. I have a video somewhere too. I may dig it up and post it. Below are the songs from the album we created, in order. Members were: Scott Olechowski, Adam Zabarsky (now aka Trevor Childs), Nick [something], Steve Bishop. Also featuring Renee Serino on vocals, Jason Martin on flute, yours truly on harmonica and vocals. Probably others. Enjoy!
