Apologies to The Fray…
Verse 1:
Step one your brother buys a Vette
He always wanted to buy a new Corvette
You press the clutch, the throaty roar
You let it out and off you go
You reach the stoplight, signal right
You grip the wheel and gun it right
The tail kicks out, you point and aim
Four hundred horses are why you came
Chorus:
And now we hit the on-ramp, thirty five
Then hit the gun, point nine one gs
And I could have stayed up at the red line
In sixth gear, saving a mid-life
(Given the fact that it’s 12:27am, I’ll leave the rest of the verses as an exercise for the reader)

Wait. I’m confused. Did you buy a ‘vette?
My brother Todd says they’re a chick magnet.

bine - It’s very rational. There’s a sequence of genes on the Y chromosome that expresses itself only when triggered by the low rumble of glass pack exhaust systems. Now you know
Missy - my brother bought one. For quitting smoking. Which was inspired by Anna. I got to drive it, get my mid-life crisis wrapped up in 15 minutes and not have the pesky car payments.

I don’t have any Y chromosomes, but that is one fine ride!
Take a spin and crank some Golden Earring for me.

SWEET! I love cars. Always have. There is an old Mach 1 Mustang down the road for sale. I have always wanted one. ( not very practical )

ooookay, now thanks to wikipedia i learned something about car exhaust systems.

you know, that missing Y chromosome makes me unable to understand anything vaguely connected to cars.
glad you enjoyed that ride. and don’t even think about getting a harley (that’s the thing that usually comes after mid life crisis here).

Sweet ride. Is that you? You’re cute! The goatee gives you a Billy Joel look (if it’s your brother, he’s cute - either way *G*).
I love cars. Thats a gorgeous car. So jealous! Enjoy having a brother with a ‘Vette!

bine - I’d love a Harley, actually. But I can’t justify the risk of a motorcycle as my kids’ only parent. I had a motorcycle in college (cheap junker) and LOVED it. Maybe someday when my kids are independent.

losing a parent when you’re independent isn’t much easier. choose parachuting or whitewater rafting instead. motorcycling is about the most dangerous thing you can do.
