I was talking with a friend recently and admitted that I have a weird fetish. I love short fingernails on a woman. Down to the quick. Weird, huh? Letting my mind wander in a meeting just now, I also realized that my fetishes also include a slight overbite and unshaven legs (well, unshaven everything, actually). WTF do these say about me? I’d better stop making mental lists of my fetishes now…

Squee! I wish more men had a fetish- gods, just a lack of aversion really- to women’s natural hair. It’s one of my biggest annoyances w/ American culture’s beauty standards. It’s just fucking ridiculous. Not only is it vaguely creepy and pedophiliac to prefer hairless women, it’s all spiky and itchy… hair is so much softer.
The fingernails thing- reminded me of this: I was watching an episode of Wonderfalls (new old TV obsession) and there’s a lesbian character who keeps her nails short. Another femaale character said she knew she was gay b/c of the nails. Then she said “You know why they keep them short, right…?” Wow. Sexy shit:)

Heidi - that’s a funny story. I’ve kept my right hand nails long all my adult life for fingerpicking a guitar and my left ones very short for fretting. Ya do have to learn to be careful with nails
I’ve also realized I should add a strong aversion to makeup to my list. I think I’m just a neanderthal. Or maybe a hippie

I was very good friends with a guy in college who kept his right hand nails long to play guitar. I always thought that was much more sensible than always looking for lost fingerpics.

i still can’t decide about that fingernails thing. somehow i like the look of slightly longer fingernails (not claws) on my hands, mainly because my hands look real stubby without them. they’re also nice to tickle and scratch a little. but they’re also a nuiscance if you don’t intend to scratch, and they get in my way when typing.
weird fetishes … i seem to prefer men with small hands and feet. i also discovered a tooth gap can be quite sexy.

I hate having long fingernails. Not good for gardening, or diaper changes. Also hate shaving. Luckily I have very light and fine hair, so I can go 3 weeks without shaving and no one notices.
