My 20th year high school reunion is coming up soon. The guy organizing it asked for photos for a slideshow and DVD, so I finally got around to scanning a few photos and sending them to him (I guess there are some advantages to having sick kids that are just resting and watching the tube). Click on the photo for more blasts from the past.

my 20th high school reunion will be on may, 11th.
i’m all wiggly already. guess i won’t make it back to my high-school weight till then!
(just joking. that would be 70 pounds.)
no seriously, i’m incredibly curious what has become of all of them. before my 10th reunion i was terrified that everyone would be showing off their careers, homes, family pictures, stuff like that. turned out most of them hadn’t changed that much. i wonder what it’ll be like now.

Ah, clothes from the seventies/eighties. How scary.
I’m so glad I have only a few pictures of me when I was younger.

I think Hawk had that lower left shirt
Oh and the HS photo? You look almost exactly like my friend S.
I’ve seen way scarier 80s photos than these. You have nothing to be shamed of. Except maybe those glasses

I was pregnant with the twins for my 20th. Too huge to travel. A classmate sent me photo links, it was amazing.
BTW, please go check out my latest pottery post. I gave you a job.

I have my 10th coming up and am strongly leaning towards not going. I can think of very few people I care to see again.

Lovin’ the lace up moccasin boots. (snicker)
Reunions. I went to my ten year; the jocks were there, the cheerleaders were there (because they never left). I looked around the room and said, “Where are all the smart people?” It looked like an invitation only party for everyone who was popular in high school. It was weird. In fact, my two best friends never even got a notice of the event and their parents were still in town living in the same house they grew up in at the time. Not like they couldn’t be found, you know?
Anyway I skipped my twenty year because I decided I didn’t really want to see any of those people again. I have an annual reunion in September with my high school friends. The ones who don’t get invited to the reunions.

I missed my 10 year. Alyssa was due in 3 weeks and I didn’t want to be out of town.
This one is shaping up to be a nice combination of people - not just the jocks and cheerleaders. And with 20 years of water under the bridge, I’d like to think that there’s just not that much difference between the jocks and me. Maybe I’m naive.
Eden - those glasses were pitiful, weren’t they?

I have two years until my 10th. Not sure I really want to go, I was Princess Way-Too-Nerdy-and-Naive.
The prom picture, OMG, atrocious!

Venessa - Thanks! I think that’s really nice of you
I think I’d better get over and catch up on your blog - I’m a blog slacker the last few days.
