The very first time we met Anna was the very first time we attended the UU church. Having never attended a church before, I was nervous and uncertain about what we would find. Adam was 17 months old. It was Father's Day of 2003. We were introduced to Anna, the nursery director, and right away, I felt at home. I remember Anna sitting in the rocker in the nursery, cradling a contentedly-nursing Ian in a pale blue sling. I was nursing a toddler too and it was so reassuring to see another like-minded mother. Perhaps I was in the right place after all. Anna was the first person to take care of Adam on a regular basis and we felt so at ease. We enjoyed UU services without a moment's worry knowing that our child was in good, loving hands.

Adam would also like to share a memory of Anna:

I remember when she did that parade with the kids at church. She led us on all the sidewalks by the church and by the library. And we had a special snack. That was a really cool day.

Jason, My sister lost her husband to Cancer about 3 1/2 years ago. After he died, many people wrote my sister with annecdotes and memories. We suggested that she create a scrapbook of those with pictures that she could share with her children as time passed.

It took her some time to get to the point that she was ready to ask people and they were ready to share again but she asked family and friends for more stories and photos and my dad compiled them for her. It's a really nice gift to her kids called "Tell me about Pappi"
