I like the idea of having cake. Hope the day wasn’t too rough for you.

I never know what to say. I’m touched. I hope it was good for the kids. I hope it was good for you.

The day worked out ok, all things considered. I was probably more upset working up to the day than on the day itself.
Luckily, it was so cold that we only spent a few minutes at Anna’s grave. Enough to mark the occasion, little enough that I didn’t completely lose it.
Thanks for your support, everyone. I’m trying to get caught up on household and parenting stuff, so I haven’t written lately. But I’ll be around.

Thanks for checking in, Kassie. I’ve had an epiphany of sorts and am spending my time a bit differently lately. I’m going to try and post about it in the next few days. I also need to catch up on reading my blogfriends as well - like yours!

I don’t know what to say except that you’re writing about your wife is so honest and so beautiful. I hope it helps relieve some of the pain…if that’s at all possible.
I can’t imagine.
But I send positive thoughts your way.

You share a number of significant dates with us, apparently. 1/31 would have been my father-in-law’s 65th birthday; he died last August. A difficult day, but in our case it was because he was a complicated man who aroused complicated reactions in everyone.

Mamma - thanks for checking in. I’ve also enjoyed your writing. And thanks for the positive thoughts.
Kate - I’ve followed the saga of your FIL a bit. Complicated indeed. I hope Willem did OK with 1/31.

Hi Jason,
Today is Valentine’s Day and I have been given a sudden inspiration to write down a bunch of fun memories of Anna (pre-family days). I couldn’t summon up these memories earlier but today they are flooding back. Maybe Anna is inspiring me from ‘out there’. It is so cool that she came to comfort you in your dream. Did she come to Alyssa or anyone else?
Anyway, the reason I’m writing is because I’d like to see if you’d be interested in starting a Fond Memories of Anna section on this website where we can all share our memories. AFter all, what we truely are made up of are memories and emotions and thoughts and I thought it would be positive and fun to dwell on them for awhile. What do you think?

Kelley -
This is a good idea. I’ll start a post just for it.
